Concentrate in noise or in silence
Some people work well when some nice music is playing or when their friends or families are around them. However, others lose their concentration and their cool even if a pin happens to drop.
What works for you, only you can tell. To find that out, you can try this experiment. Try to write a letter in 10 minutes in all of the above environments and see what works. Watch for the development as well as the length when observing your results.
Achieve your focal point
In the morning everyday, select any object and keep staring at it for at least 10 minutes. You can do this on your way to work or before leaving. This can be somewhat difficult to do. However, do not deter and keep on staring.
Hold your gaze, wait and as the time passes slowly, you will end up deeply thinking about several things like what happened yesterday, what challenges await you and things like that. This is meditation.
Take deep breaths
Initially, do this when you are staring at that object. However, if you want to move forward to the next level then do this by itself. Sit on a floor and keep your eyes closed. Now, breathe, As you do, count how many times you inhaled. Once you reach 100, start a reverse countdown, this time the times your exhale. You might not get it right the first few times, but keeping at it will help you concentrate.
Concentrate on movement
Follow the movement of some animal, dog, cat, a bird or an ant will also do. Do it as if besides you, they were the only ones present there. Concentrate on every little detail of their body. The goal of this exercise is to help you spread your concentration so that movement does not deter you.
Now, practice what you have read and you are on your way to concentrating better.
